About Project 3-DRIP
Project 3-DRIP (3-D Revolution in Progress) is a FREE hands-on 3-week workshop series that teaches 3-D printing. 3-D Printing turns your ideas into reality through innovative additive manufacturing that builds your creations layer by layer. You’ll have the opportunity to use a 3-D printer to create an item of your choice: keychain, fidget toy, replacement part, and more! These fun hands-on activity teaches digital skills that are great resume builders for education and careers of the future!
Free pizza at each workshop, and every participant gets a free device of their choice up to $300 when they complete the workshop! Workshops are twice a week for 3-weeks at each location. Special thanks to Seattle Department of Information Technology, Seattle Parks & Recreation, and the individual supporters that let us offer this completely free of charge! Sign up below!

How to Attend

Each workshop is FREE. Participants are welcome to attend in-person from the COVID-compliant community locations or virtually from home. The dates for each location are on the flyer.

To attend Virtually, we use the Zoom video-calling platform. No software download is needed, you can "join meeting from the browser" (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox).

The Zoom link and instructions for each workshop will be posted on this website and on the home page. Just go to http://steamdiscoveryproject.org and the link will be there.
Free Pizza + $300 in Rewards

Each workshop will have free food. Signups help us plan to have enough food.

For each location, participants who complete the hands-on projects will receive a device with up to a $300 value.

Please note that there is a very brief exit survey we will ask you to complete at the end of the workshop. The exit survey helps us learn how to improve the workshops, and that information is what helps keep this program free of charge.

3-D Printing Tutorials
Let's learn how to 3-D print! To begin, you'll need to create a Bambu Studios and Makerworld Account. Please follow the instructions down to create your necessary accounts. If you need any additional help, please consult with the person in charge of your 3D Creator Space or contact us down below or at contact@renaissance21.org!
1. Download Bambu Studios
Download the Bambu Studios application to your laptop and follow the instructions to finish setting up your account. You will need to use your own email account.
2. Select Printers & Filament
Select A1 Mini and P1S as your printers. For filament type, select PLA and PETG from the brands SUNLU or Bambu Labs. Make sure that you allow for plug-in.
3. Create a Makerworld Account
Head over to makerworld.com/en
and use your Bambu Studios account to login. You'll be prompted to create a username.
4. Finish Your Account.
Add P1S and A1 mini under 3-D printers, and agree to the terms. Watch the tutorials to see how to use these two platforms to begin printing!
